Experimental study on erosion and wear law of metal screen under spraying condition

ABSTRACT It is very important for the safe production of sand producing oil and gas wells to make clear erosion law control screen pipe. The experiment metal mesh under two working conditions blockage non-blockage was carried out with jet experimental device. influencing factor solid mass fraction (0.3%, 0.5%, 0.8%), aperture velocity (1.5 m/s, 4 6 m/s) particle size (20 μm, 54 74 μm) on rate analyzed. results show that loss increases increase fraction, size, change single double screens consistent; condition incomplete blockage, exponentially flow rate; complete balance decreases pressure difference when between inlet outlet kept constant. In addition, difference; in scanning electron microscope wear non-blocking much less than blocking condition, which because gap weft wires blocked by particles, resulting rapid local screen, thus accelerating screen.
